My Love...

... Of old movies, always helps me to lift a bad mood.

Whether they are from the 1940s, 1960s, 1980s...

And for some odd reason, I love to buy VHS movies.

I have no clue why.

Lately the movie that has been on constant repeat in my home is,

This movie ALWAYS makes me smile and helps me to forget that I'm lonely at times.

Mark of the Vampire (1935)

I'm so excited!

October is here and that means it's time for old horror movies on TCM. Though a great variety will be showcased throughout October, I'm looking forward to the movies that will be on all day on Halloween. My absolute fav is the movie, Mark of the Vampire.

I fell in love with this movie 2 years ago.

Horror icon, Bela Lugosi, plays Count Mora and he is joined by the hypnotic beauty Luna Mora, played by Carroll Borland.

My grandmother and I are planning a simple dinner: Subs & Wings, then we will collapse in front of the TV and watch what ever comes on until..... well until she or myself falls asleep I guess.

Suffering from Thrift Store Withdrawl

So it's been a long minute since I've darken the doors of my favorite thrift store and I think I'm about to go insane!!!

This exile is self imposed so I can't be too hard on myself. See, I'm trying to save every penny for when I move into my new place. I have roughly 15 more days to go. Why roughly? Because I'm here with my mom and younger brothers and they are driving me a little mad!!!

Though I am keeping busy, Tuner Classic Movies has dedicated todays' "Summer Under the Stars" to Bob Hope, so they are playing the infamous "Road Tour" movies with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour.

 I love old black and white pictures. They are so entertaining and original.

This should hold my attention until my show, True Blood, comes on. I  loved the books by Charlaine Harris, and love the show even more. Tonight we discover what Sookie Stackhouse really is, for human she is NOT.
